Many of you are experiencing higher energy bills this winter than you would normally see during the hottest months of the year.  

The image shown is taken from an email sent to Bubba Martin from the thermostat company that he and Kay use in their own home .  It explains why their bill is higher this month than it was last year at this time.

Energy bills can be high in the winter, especially when it has been exceptionally cold for many days.  It is important to remember that during the hottest days of the year there will be about a 25 degree difference between the outside temperature and the temperature set in your house.  However, on a cold, winter day the temperature outside can be about 40-50 degrees different than the temperature inside your house.
